Chill out at Wolfgang & Co.

“We would like to be known for to offers the best cocktails in the town, also with no compromise in food. We have been working on the recipes for last six months, and now that we are ready we have organised for this prelaunch meet” said the passionate Mr Kuldeep Chhabra, the owner of Wolfgang & Co –a new kitchen and bar at the heart of the city, Connaught Place Delhi

The place is classy and good to chill out, with friends family or even alone, with a drink and a bite and enjoy the jazz music. This two level space is quite spacious with leather sofa sitting arrangement in muted tone, however ,to add the colour, one corner had few bright yellow chair

Walls are done very artistically with couple of wall sculpture to quirky art. A big screen with great sound system in between the wall add to ambiance. Bar is well stocked and simple and medium sized. Wall adjoining the bar have book selves which I found quite interesting. I also like the idea of a separate smoking zone

Let’s talk about the food:

I was already impressed by the personal interest of the owner and the polite waiters. And as suggested by them I tried the shots of all the mock tails in offering, to order my drink. And it made me greedy to have them all, somehow finally I decided to have two of them, the first one I Ordered was filled jalapeno, as the name suggests it was served in capsicum, which made it naturally spicy it had passion fruit juice as a main ingredient, and I loved the tangy and spiciness and thickish texture in the drink. Next was Spiced Jammun again tangy with passion fruit and Jammun flavours, it was very refreshing and wow! The other two were Fizzy Kokum and Monsoon .they were good too. All this while I also dug into the salads namely, Arugula apple celery salad, it was fresh and light, with apple chunks and walnut garnishing. Followed by Beets salad with raisins and feta Cheese, it was good to the eyes as well as healthy and had interesting fusion of flavours .fresh raisins added an interesting twist to the flavours.

For the starter I ordered a Veg platter. Which allowed me to taste Nachos, Mushroom Galoti and Veg quesadillas. Served with tomato salsa, tartar sauce and a mint sauce. Nacho were topped with sour cream and tomatoes .whereas quesadillas were well made with the filling of capsicum ,tomatoes and herbs, The hero of the platter was Mushroom Galoti- smooth in texture,  with mild flavours. I loved the way it melted in the mouth-DIVINE! Must try when you visit. I also tried Mediterranean sandwich which had the filling of veggies and served with hummus and mint sauce.

Main course

Paneer Pasanda served with baby Naan was a complete meal in itself. The gravy was rich, thick and creamy with big chunks of Indian paneer,it was aromatic and nice but had little extra dose of cardamom than needed.by now I was more than full hence ignored the other option and called for the desserts.

The first dessert serve on our table was Tiramisu in a large wine glass It was awesome, next was Chocolate coconut gateau-it won my heart with excellent texture and absolutely amazing melange of Choco and coconut flavour.

Wolf gang &company just don’t have a different name but also offers a different experience than the mushrooming eating joint around the area- With amazing drinks, divine Italian, Mediterranean and north Indian food, great ambience and live music, that too at a pocket friendly price

A must visit!
