Janpath Grill House, awed me by the magnificent fresco of entire CP on one wall. It is one of the first restaurant which offers live Barbeque right on your table along with a Molecular gastronomy.
Interior is simple and basic, with wall murals and no confusion elegant sitting stations. Proper lighting and non-cluttered look what attracts this large space, restaurant has two floors with a total of 120 seating..
They serve only north Indian food and have a grill and buffet which brings the twisted live barbeque concept along with the molecular food preparation Chef Tarun has tried to create fusion food with innovative use of molecular gastronomy. He aims to bring the fusion of live Barbeque and molecular food so that guests can enjoy grilling their own vegetarian and non-vegetarian barbeques on live grills embedded in their tables.
Let’s talk about food:
The mock-tails at the restaurant transport you to your childhood. Hajmola, aam ki shikanji, and many other funky Indian drinks are given a ineresting twist and are not to be missed..
The buffet at the restaurant offers an array of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Starters like Beetroot ki seekh, Naga Chilly Soya, Thai Curry Chicken Tikka deserve a special mention. The Main Course spread consists of mouth-watering dishes like Chicken Biryani and Corn Pulao. For dessert, the chefs serve up delectable dishes like gulab Kulfi, Gulab Jamun and Phirni.
We had gone gaga over the Drinks hence, Our expectations were too high after these drinks and we were really surprise when Chef informed us that here that they have four different items in their Amuse Bouche section. That means four complimentary delicious dishes, what else can one ask for?
Our culinary journey started with Nitrogen Puffs, a molecular snack item, followed by Tomato – Imly shots, a plate of Golguppas and the finale was with a spectacular live demonstration of Chat making with liquid Nitrogen.
Next were starters now, and we enjoyed Basil Paneer Tikka, , Matar aur Heeng kebab, Dahi Kebaba, and Wasabi Mushrooms.mshroom galoti and few other delicios options .
Moving on to the main course now, it was a massive buffet spread of Dal Makhani, Kadahi Paneer, Gobhi Masala, Mutton Roganjosh, and few other veg and non-veg preparations
The delicious lunch ended with, once again some superb tasty desserts; Kheer, Phirni, Gulab Jamun and Sahi Tukda.

We spoke with Bhanu Nehra, Owner, Janpath Grill House, and he said “We are very delighted to announce the launch of Janpath Grill House, which is a first molecular grill and buffet and with this restaurant we bring the best of live barbeque experience and molecular food for our customers. We have worked hard to bring the best in our menu hence we believe that our restaurant will be very well accepted here by winning hearts of people. With the inception of this first restaurant, we are looking forward to open two more outlets of Janpath Grill House in Delhi / NCR by the end of 2017.
He further added that the concept at JGH is to entertain all age groups of clients, in a family, and not just the crowd from 20-30 age group like most of the other restaurants cater to. He said that the idea is to have an entire family come here and enjoy the food – in a manner they do at home.
The chef also added that they will not have a normal fixed menu – the menu will change every day of the week. There will be different kinds of combination on each day in both the starters and the buffet section.
