I love to chill out every now and then, and one of the must for chilling out is finding new place to shop, to eat. And in one such mood I headed to Junkyard Saket. Though it’s the third of the junkyard chain it’s a brand new one.
True to Its concept Junkyard Café at Saket, though smaller space, if we compare it with its CP avatar, but one do gets the true feel of what the imagination and creativity can do the scraps and create a whole décor and concept.. I was really impressed by the legendary Michael Jackson portrait on one wall, and with interiors which has been created here using all junk stuff.
Let’s talk about the food:
As soon as we parked ourselves on the chair created out of junk, we started with mock-tails which I noticed were crafted with loads of health quotient. On Junkyard team’s suggestion we called for Gardino, a mix of watermelon, celery, mint and beetroot juice, and the Citurs mart, mix of orange lime pomegranate and splash of ginger.
We also tried hazelnut butter scotch shake and the chocolate shake, which were thick creamy and flavoursome-yummyacious!
Along with refreshing drinks we were served with the chatpata Palak chaat, Paneer Tikka, Veggie spring rolls, Falafel with Hummus, and Four Season Pizza. Presentations was very inviting indeed, the food immediately grabbed our attention and was as tasty as it looked. Junkyard special Paneer Tikka was well marinated and cooked to perfection. The Paneer was wonderfully moist, soft and rightly grilled. Spring roll were crisp and fresh.
For the main course we ordered Jodhpuri Paneer and Dal Makhani with roti and naans, I loved this North Indian platter and the portion size was good enough for two.
Well well now time for dessert- Brownie with ice-cream and cheese cake ,both the dessert were just about ok.
So guys if you want to enjoy a meal with your friends and family while appreciating creativity in totality this is a place to be.
