Nepal, I guess is the luckiest country in the entire world. Surrounded by the Majestic Himalayan peaks, and enchanting lakes and waterfalls coupled with diverse flora and fauna, this country is a must visit on every adventure sport and mountain lover.
Mt Everest is here and so is Mt Annapurna. And this year base camp trek to Mt Annapurna was on our plans. We started in first week of May and after acclimatizing ourselves, we started for the Annapurna trek under the experts, Master Himalaya Treks and Expeditions Pvt Ltd. in Kathmandu.
Its always an adventure going in to deep areas and heights on Himalayas. Though I love taking risks but its always advisable to take help of the locals while visiting Nepal Himalayas.
While in Kathmandu, I decided to visit the offices of Master Himalaya Treks and Expeditions Pvt Ltd. in Kathmandu. I was very happy and satisfied when I met the people at Master Himalaya – they seemed like thorough professionals. Master Himalaya is well known for organising and handling treks and trips in the most professional and dedicated way.

And finally when I took the trek package and reached the base camp, it was more than satisfaction and happiness. I felt like as if I have already climbed Mt Annapurna. The guides and porters were extremely helpful and experienced.
I thoroughly enjoyed my trek to Annapurna, it is one of the most popular treks in Nepal. I loved the spectacular views of some of the highest mountain peaks in the world, Annapurna, a 55km long Massif with a highest peak, Annapurna I, that stands at 8,091m. It is the central Nepal and near to Pokhara with reputation of providing splendid mountains views, perfect trekking and wide variety of arctic and semi-arctic flora and fauna.
Annapurna is a Sanskrit word meaning “The Goddess of Harvests”, and this is obvious from the entire region which is rich in nature, from farming buckwheat, potatoes to natural dense forests of pine, oak and rhododendron, the latter of which is beautiful when in full bloom.
For the trek, starting from Kathmandu, we moved on towards the tourist hub Pokhara, where, from the banks of Phewa Lake, I got the first glimpse of Annapurna and Machhapuchhre in all its glory. As we moved closer to the mountains, villages such as Ghandruk and Chhomrong came along the way where I was able to witness the culture and hospitality of the local people which is incredibly warm. The unique part Annapurna Base Camp Trek is that it also takes you to Machhapuchhre Base Camp, also known as the Fishtail Mountain is considered to be one of the most beautiful mountains in the world.
Personally I would rate Master Himalaya as one of the best companies in Nepal, and feel that for a person visiting Nepal, Master Himalaya is a must.
